Third Worlds: Third World/ Karachi (2011)

Through Voices Breaking Boundaries, I worked with artist Robert Pruitt and a team of artists in Houston’s historic Third Ward to co-produce and co-curate Third Worlds: Third Ward/Karachi.

Artists from Karachi sent work, and the Houston-based artists and I created site-specific installations in two residential homes through which we explored parallels between the Third Ward and elements of life in Karachi.

Third Worlds: Third Ward/Karachi was made possible through the support of: the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts; Houston Endowment, Inc.; Humanities Texas, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities; The Simmons Foundation; & Texas Commission on the Arts. VBB receives funding support from the City of Houston through the Houston Arts Alliance.
