Fallen trees, destroyed homes, streets blocked off. And branches, so many branches. I have seen storms and I have seen flooding, but I have never heard the kind of wind that gusted through this city that early Saturday morning. We are all right and our house is fine.

And like half of Houston — two days later — we still have no electricity.
